If D-Day had failed, it probably would have taken the Russians an extra two or three months to beat the Germans.
The Russians had around 18,000,000 deaths in World War 2, and the United States had 298,000 deaths, according to the below encyclopedia britannica article.
After the Germans were unable to "kick in the door" of Moscow in December of 1941, the Nazi were doomed. I believe that the Russians would have beat the Germans without any western allies help.
One of the last battles of European World War 2 was the surrounded German 9th & 12th armies fighting their way thru 50 miles of Russian army lines in late April 1945, so they could surrender to the Americans.
Tom Brokaw's "greatest generation" was lucky they didn't have to go thru the misery and suffering of Russians under Stalin.

The Olympia Washington Kiwanis members and their friends have cost the Washington State taxpayers over $50 million dollars (so far), because of their willful ignorance of long term, merciless and well known, child abuse that occurred at the Olympia Kiwanis Boys Ranch.
October 2006 note: This Olympia Kiwanis stuff is old news. I've left this information on the web, because I like the thought that someone will say to one of these Kiwanis friends or members: "Grandma, (Grandpa), are you still friends with those Olympia Kiwanians?"
