june 16, 2003 a purple bullhead and yellow bullhead eggs, that were under rocks a few hundred yards north of manaco beach. the purple bullheads would hollow a cavity under a big rock and would be laying in the hollow area with the eggs on underside of the rock. it's a little ecosystem, that i didn't know about in my 46 years around manaco beach. there were at least 7 rocks that had bullheads and eggs under them.

my brother phillips dog, samwise, got hit by a car and broke his leg while at manaco beach on february 1, 2003. the below links are from a series of e-mails and webpage links i (louis bloom), sent out about samwise the dogs recovery from his broken leg. also, there are odds and ends manaco beach, camano island pictures. the surgery and other bills for fixing his leg cost around $4,000.00. if we knew it would cost that much, samwise may have have become a three legged dog or gotten a cheap "sleeping" shot. here's a link to sam the dog pictures from saturday february 1, 2003
