Columbia County serves approximately 4,100 citizens along the Columbia River in southern
Washington. A three-member Board of Commissioners governs the County with each
Commissioner serving staggered, four-year terms. The County operates on an $11 million
annual budget. It has approximately 85 full- and part-time employees who provide law
enforcement, emergency services, road and bridge services, health and human services, culture
and recreations, judicial administration and the County Fair.
