Dear Greg Felton, Pursuant to the state open records law, Wash. Rev. Code Ann. sec. 42.17.010 to 42.17.350, I email to request a copy of the following 2009 King county employment and salary list.
* Employee last name and first initial of first name
* Job Title (description)
* Department
* Total Gross pay for each individual for the year (2007)
* Overtime wages
* Hire date
If you don't have the 2009 data, send me the 2008 data, or it'd be fine with me to wait for a few weeks for the 2009 data.
I would like the data emailed to me in an excel format, as you did for me in March 2008
My e-mail address is manaco@whidbey.net or manaco@wavecable.com
I agree to pay any reasonable copying and postage fees of not more than $20.
As provided by the open records law, I will expect your response within five (5) business days.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Louis Bloom

Mr. Bloom,
Thank you for your public records request. We are compiling 2009 payroll data from the two King County payroll systems (MSA and PeopleSoft) into a single Excel spreadsheet and I expect to have that information available by Monday, April 5. Although you mention the year 2007 in one portion of your request (gross pay), I believe that may be an error. If I am incorrect and you wish to receive 2007 data as well, please let me know.
I plan to attach the 2009 data in an Excel spreadsheet to an email message on Monday. Per RCW 42.56, there are no preparation, copying or postage fees associated with this email transmittal of electronic records.
If you have questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Greg Felton

Mr. Bloom,
I am writing back to let you know that I experienced temporary difficulty pulling the combined MSA and PeopleSoft payroll data and I was not able to make this record available today as I had promised. I hope to have more information on the cause of the trouble tomorrow, and I will let you know when the data can be provided.
