A mayor-council form of government administers the City, with seven elected part-time Council Members and an elected Mayor. The City reported General Fund expenditures of approximately $21.2 million. Its 229 employees provide a variety of services including public safety, planning and zoning, street maintenance, water, sewer, solid waste, parks and recreation and general government services. The City contracts with the local fire district for fire and emergency medical services.
