Mukilteo School District No. 6 provides public school services to students in kindergarten through
12th grade. The District’s service area of 26 square miles includes parts of the city of Everett, the
city of Mukilteo and unincorporated Snohomish County. The District serves approximately 13,975
students with a staff of approximately 917 certificated and 417 classified employees. The District
has three high schools, a skills center, four middle schools and 11 elementary schools. The
District’s budgeted expenditures for fiscal year 2005 were $116,021,945 for General Fund,
$2,449,937 for the Associated Student Body Fund, $18,538,951 for the Capital Projects Fund,
$1,280,000 for the Transportation Fund and $18,871,087 for the Debt Service Fund. A
five-member Board of Directors, elected to four-year terms by voters of the District, governs the
District’s operations.
