In 1967, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency was chartered by state law (Chapter 70.94 RCW) to
enforce federal, state and local air pollution laws. Its jurisdiction covers King, Kitsap, Pierce and
Snohomish counties.
The Agency employs approximately 70 employees and is governed by a nine-member Board of
Directors, which is composed of elected officials from each of the four counties, a representative
from the largest city in each county and one member representing the public-at-large. King
County acts as the Agency’s treasurer for investments and warrants. The Agency has
approximately $10.5 million in annual revenues, which includes federal and state grants, local
government assessments, mandated fees and civil penalties.

Pursuant to the state open records law, Wash. Rev. Code Ann. sec. 42.17.010 to 42.17.350, I write to request a copy of the names, job titles, and salaries of the employees of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.
I have a website (http://lbloom.net) that lists the names, job titles, and salaries of all Washington State employees and I would like to add the names, job titles, and salaries of Washington State local government employees.
In Nov. 2002, the Wash. St. Court of Appeals ruled that government employees names cannot be kept secret. http://www.lbloom.net/zz.html
Many government agencies were able to e-mail me their salaries, job titles, and employees list in a microsoft excel format, or send me a cd-rom in excel format.
