The Port of Edmonds operates under the laws of the state of Washington applicable to Public Port Districts. A five-member Board of Commissioners, elected to four-year terms, governs the Port’s operations. The Port has approximately 30 employees and is supported primarily through user charges. The Port’s 2004 and 2005 operating revenue was approximately $4,544,197 and $4,739,201, respectively. The Port owns and leases properties at the marina, Harbor Square Property and various sites along the waterfront. These properties include vessel repair and boat sales as well as commercial properties such as restaurants, offices, retailers and an athletic club. The Port’s marina is full service with approximately 676 wet moorage slips, 280 dry storage slips, fuel dock, guest moorage, public launcher, a Travelift and workyard.
